The Bell is a historic, community-owned pub on Walcot Street, famous for its bohemian soul and legendary live music scene. From live jazz and blues to our iconic vinyl-only DJ sets, we are the heartbeat of Bath’s creative quarter. Beyond the stage, we serve local ales and great pizza with plenty of space in our covered beer garden. Whether you’re here for the music or a quiet pint by the fire, The Bell is the place to be. Open seven days a week for drinkers, thinkers, and dancers alike!

Free live music three to four times a week ranging from jazz to blues to folk to roots to some things we are not sure what to call.

The Bar

Enjoy our extensive range of real ales and cask beers, carefully selected for their quality and taste.

Angel from The Pizza Bike is in the garden 4 days a week, serving freshly prepared delicious sourdough pizza.

DJs

The Walcot Vinyl Collective are on the decks 4 times a week, bringing the best and most eclectic sounds to make you dance!

Beer Garden

Come and soak up the sun in our beer garden! We have a retractable roof, so a little rain won’t stop the fun.

Back Room

We have a versatile space available for any event, from rehearsal sessions, band gigs, and meetings to private parties.

Amazing place in Bath, quirky and with character, great personable service. sense of humour and buzzing vibe. Not far from centre of Bath, with nice garden and cheap drinks.

A wonderful pub with friendly people, delicious drinks, and reasonable prices. I can wholeheartedly recommend it, as everything just fits together and somehow harmonizes. Great music (DJ or live), delicious beer, a fitting decor, and friendly staff.

What a pub should be! Lively, friendly, community based with a great range of beer and an intimate music venue.

Great pub for a pint and some live music. Theiy have a perfect little garden out the rear of the pub with a place to purchase homemade fired pizzas. Many live music events and great selection of beers, ales and ciders.

This was our favourite venue in Bath. Stumbled across it by chance. Live music, amazingly friendly people. Felt as though I was as a local. Everyone was talkative, dancing and would go back tomorrow. Wish it was my local.

Expect to feel at home here whoever you are and wherever you’re from – and if you are a woman on your own you will feel quite comfortable. Quirky and unique – but enough about the staff. Pizzas are good too.

I researched this pub before visiting and as a first time visitor to Bath as a whole it didn’t disappoint. A proper pub for the community attracting a diverse range of clientele. They were very welcoming to our young family.

Cracking place, great atmosphere, wonderful range of beers and ciders. Awesome range of live music played. Outstanding pizza. Can’t wait to re-visit. And the Staff are great too!
